Torrance Real Estate Market Update

Although the Torrance real estate market has experienced some of the general pain that has effected the entire South Bay market single family homes sales in November actually increased in November compared to the previous year. This past month the South Bay Association of Realtor reported 53 single family home sales with another 35 pending compared to 48 sales with another 39 pending in November 2007.

Average sold price for a single family homes in Torrance dropped to $623,000 in November compared to $671,000 in November of 2007. However, the average price for single family homes sold in Torrance has actually been increasing the last few months since hitting a low of $594,000 in September.

Shorewood Realtors Continues to Lead in South Bay Real Estate Sales – November 2008

For the month of November Shorewood Realtors continued to lead all Greater South Bay real estate brokerages in sales. For the the month Shorwood Realtors participated in 51 property sales throughout the Greater South Bay, 24 in house listings and 27 buyer representative sales.  Remax Palos Verders was close behind with 47 sales for the month, however the total value of their property sales was significantly less, $38.5 million vs. $61.1 million for Shorewood Realtors.

South Bay MLS Real Estate Sales Update for November 2008

November was a rough month for home sellers in the South Bay. Of the 3420 homes (Single Family Homes, Condos/Townhouses, and Residential Income Properties) listed for sale in the Greater South Bay MLS only 420 sold during the month with another 388 going into escrow. The current supply of homes assuming no others were to enter the market would last 8.1 months.
